What girl doesn't love a bit of sparkle? Speaking personally, I think glitter makes the world go round (along with the money, of course). Like diamonds, I have an affinity towards the shiny and the sparkling, despite my personal preference for a daily diet of all-black, esoteric fashion. Methinks you can and should do both.
Now that that's out of my system, let's discuss the Spring 2016 MM6 collection. The women's line which was shown on both genders, was comprised of groovy, glittery clubbie outfits with everything from trash-bag plastic blouses to shredded denim to full-on sequin pull-up stockings. Poison apple red and a brightly polished high-shine silver coating of sequins gave the oversized, off-kilter collection another dimension with it's eye-popping presence, a juxtaposition of the grungy with the glam.
Sequinned opera-length gloves? Yep. To the floor sequin slips? Of course. Full-on sequin thigh-highs? Yessir. Sequinned fanny packs worn a' la bustier? Damn straight. I think you get the picture. If for no other reason than the straight-up sheer pleasure of it (and that's really what fashion is all about, right?), I think adding a little glittery moment here and there needs no explanation.
